Common use of DUES AND DEDUCTIONS Clause in Contracts

DUES AND DEDUCTIONS. 11.1 Upon individual written authorization by an employee who is a member of the Union, the District agrees to deduct from the pay of such employee the current Union dues, as certified to the District by the Treasurer of the Union. Said deductions shall be made each pay period in which the employee’s paycheck is large enough to satisfy the deduction. The District shall forward the amount so collected to the Union at least once per month. However, the District shall not deduct dues from the wages of any employee who notifies the District and Union in writing that he/she is withdrawing a previous authorization for such deductions.
