Defined Contribution/Hybrid Pension Plans. All members of this bargaining unit are members of the Act 345 Retirement System, except that effective January 1, 2012 any employee who already is a member of a defined contribution or hybrid pension plan and who is promoted into this bargaining unit on or after January 1, 2012 shall remain a member of a defined contribution or hybrid pension plan. Employees who are promoted into this bargaining unit who have a defined benefit plan shall continue in such plan. Members of the bargaining unit may also participate in a deferred compensation plan.
