Days and Hours of Work Are. 1. The basic faculty assignment in the Xxxx Community College District is a 43.75-hour contract week based on a 16-week academic semester and (175-day) academic year. In the case of alternative calendars, the contract week hours shall be adjusted based on the one thousand four hundred (1,400) hours per academic year. One hundred seventy-five (175) days shall be defined as that period between the first instructional day of the fall semester and the last instructional day of the fall semester plus the period between the first instructional day of the spring semester and the last instructional day of the spring semester. Proposed full-time faculty assignments that vary from the definition of one hundred Article 8 (continued) seventy-five (175) days as indicated above, must still equal one thousand four hundred (1,400) hours and must be mutually agreed to by the faculty member, the Association, and the College President or designee.

  • Days and Hours of Work The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • 00 - HOURS OF WORK 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a normal day of work. The normal hours of work shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for an eight (8) hour day, with one-half or one hour for lunch at the midpoint of the shift. Forty (40) hours shall constitute a normal week's work, Monday through Friday inclusive.   • Hours and Days of Work (A) The purpose of this article is to define the normal hours of work, but nothing in this agreement shall be construed as a guarantee of work for any period.

  • Standard Hours of Work 4.2.1 The standard hours of work shall be defined as regularly scheduled twenty-four (24) hours per week or less averaged over each bi-weekly pay period.

Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail. Proper health monitoring procedures will be introduced and suitable rosters clearly agreed prior to commencing work. Adequate supervision must always be provided. Matters on which agreement may be reached include:

  • ARTICLE HOURS OF WORK The following provision designating regular hours on a daily tour and regular daily tours over the nursing schedule determined by the Hospital shall not be construed to be a guarantee of the hours of work to be performed on each tour or during each tour schedule.
