Common use of Custodial/Maintenance Clause in Contracts

Custodial/Maintenance. A. The Board reserves the right to set the hours of work for all custodial/maintenance employees covered by this Agreement. A permanent change in the starting time shall not be made until the Board has given appropriate notice to the Union and the affected custodial/maintenance employees. The Board reserves the right to temporarily change an employee's starting time in case of emergency. The regularly scheduled work week shall consist of forty (40) hours beginning at 12:01 a.m. Monday and ending 168 hours thereafter. The normal workday shall be eight (8) hours. If there is a need for overtime custodial work, such work will be performed by part-time substitutes.
