Controlled Unclassified Information. The parties understand that information and materials provided pursuant to or resulting from this cooperative agreement may be export controlled, sensitive, for official use only, or otherwise protected by law, executive order or regulation. The Cooperator is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Nothing in this cooperative agreement shall be construed to permit any disclosure in violation of those restrictions.

Controlled Unclassified Information. 9.1. Except as otherwise provided in this MOU or as authorized in writing by the originating Participant, Controlled Unclassified Information provided or gen- erated pursuant to this MOU will be controlled as follows:
Controlled Unclassified Information. To the extent Vendor access, stores, generates, or handles Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) (as defined below) in performance of this Agreement, Vendor shall comply with applicable policies and guidance for the storage, processing, handling, or generation of CUI. CUI is defined as "information that laws, regulations, or Government-wide policies require to have safeguarding or dissemination controls, excluding classified information."
