Awarding of Holiday Time. Transition Projects values the diversity of its staff members. To uphold this value, all paid holiday time is floating time. There are no designated holiday dates that Transition Projects as an organization observes. Bargaining unit members shall receive up to 24 hours of holiday pay at the beginning of each quarter (January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st). Holiday pay is prorated based on the bargaining unit members’ FTE status. Holiday pay is paid at the bargaining unit member’s current rate of pay. The maximum award allotment for holiday time is 24 hours per quarter.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Legal Holiday If the date on which any payment is due shall not be a Business Day, then (notwithstanding any other provision of the Notes or this Indenture) payment need not be made on such date but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date on which nominally due, and no interest shall accrue for the period from and after any such nominal date.

  • Number of Holidays (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) There shall be twelve (12) holidays and these holidays are set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. Should the Hospital be required to observe an additional paid holiday as a result of legislation, it is understood that one of the existing holidays recognized by the Hospital shall be established as the legislated holiday after discussion with the Union, so that the Hospital's obligation to provide the number of paid holidays as noted above remains unchanged.
