At-Sea Monitoring. If the trip is selected for coverage under the 35 ASM Program, Vessels shall follow all appropriate Sector ASM 36 Program protocols and processes as outlined in this section. 37 Sector Vessels selected for ASM coverage are not allowed to set 38 sail until the ASM arrives and is onboard or a waiver is granted 39 by the ASM Provider(s). 40

At-Sea Monitoring. 26 The SHS1 will participate in the Northeast Fisheries Observer Program (NEFOP) and the 27 NMFS and/or industry-funded at-sea monitoring (ASM) program while they operate. 28 This ASM coverage will have vessel and trip selection coordinated through NMFS and 29 will use approved at-sea providers and monitors. The Sector manager will maintain a 30 database of all catch data, including but not limited to VTR, dealer, monitor, and observer 31 data. NMFS will provide the Sector with data from NEFOP and the ASM program. 32 The SHS1 will contract one or more of the companies approved by NOAA Fisheries to 33 provide a-sea monitoring and will notify NOAA Fisheries of its selection no later than 34 May 1, 2019. 35 The SHS1 will deploy at-sea monitors in a way to achieve 31% of trips that is random 36 and representative of fishing activities of the sector. 37 The SHS1 will use the NOAA Fisheries-designated ASM program.
At-Sea Monitoring. The Sustainable Harvest Sector will participate in the Northeast Fisheries Observer Program (NEFOP) and the NMFS-funded at-sea monitoring (ASM) program while they operate. The sector will transition to its approved industry- funded ASM program when NMFS funding for ASM ends, pursuant to an independent contract between the Sector and a NMFS approved provider. This ASM coverage will have vessel and trip selection coordinated through NMFS and will use approved at-sea monitors. The Sector manager will maintain a database of all catch data, including but not limited to VTR, dealer, monitor, and observer data. NMFS will provide the Sector with data from NEFOP and the ASM program.

At-Sea Monitoring. 19 The TSS does not plan to have any additional At Sea Monitoring coverage beyond that 20 provided by NMFS as part of the NEFOP.

The Sector manager will maintain a database of all catch data, including but not limited to VTR, dealer, monitor, and observer data. NMFS will provide the Sector with data from NEFOP and ASM program.
