Arboriculture Program. The objective of the program is to produce high quality Arboriculture employees through a blend of “on-the-job” experience and Professional development. To advance through the Arboriculture program, employees shall complete the professional development requirements and on-the-job hours of each level of the program. The minimum educational requirement is Grade 12 or equivalent with preference for a College Diploma in Arboriculture. Excellent physical fitness is a prerequisite. All new candidates will enter the program as an Arborist 1 unless they have obtained the qualifications for a higher level of Arborist as indicated below, and as such, shall be paid accordingly. To reach the Arborist 5 classification, employees must have achieved International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certification and shall complete 30 CEU credits over three (3) years in keeping with the ISA certification requirements or shall be reduced to an Arborist 4. The requirements for each level of the Arboriculture Program are outlined below. Candidates must meet all the requirements of their existing level before moving to the next level. Arborist 1 -0 - 2,000 hrs. in program work 5 CEU EUSA Training Class "DZ" Licence Arborist 3 - 4,001 - 6,000 hrs. in program work 5 CEU (15 accumulated credits) EUSA Training Arborist 5 - 8,001 + hrs. in program work Current certification as an ISA Certified Arborist Arborist 2 - 2,001 - 4,000 hrs. in program work 5 CEU (10 accumulated credits) EUSA Training Arborist 4 - 6,001 - 8,000 xxx.xx program work 5 CEU (20 accumulated credits) EUSA Training The Arborist classification is based on increased responsibility, meeting all the skill requirements and hours of service that are outlined in the above format.   • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. The Board agrees to implement the following:

  • EDUCATION PROGRAM Measure 1a Is the school implementing the material elements of its Educational Program as defined in the charter contract? Meets Standard: The school implemented the material elements of its Educational Program in all material respects, and, in operation, the education program reflects the essential terms as defined in the charter contract, or the school has obtained approval for a modification to the essential terms. Measure 1b Is the school complying with applicable education requirements? Meets Standard: The school materially complies with applicable laws, rules, regulations and provisions of the charter contract relating to education requirements, including but not limited to: • Academic standards, including Common Core • Graduation requirements • State assessment and student testing • Implementation of mandated programming as a result of state or federal funding, including Title I and Title II funding Measure 1c Is the school protecting the rights of students with disabilities?
