Any Electrical Transmission and Distribution System. 34. Any loss or damage whatsoever (including personal injury, bodily injury, death, loss of or damage to, or loss of use of property, whether or not damaged, or expense) to the extent that payment in respect thereof would violate economic or trade sanctions pursuant to the laws, rules, regulations, orders, decisions, directives or common positions of the European Union, the United States of America or any other governmental body or authority having jurisdiction over the Underwriter. Nor shall this policy be deemed to provide any cover or benefit to any person or entity to the extent that the provision of such cover or benefit would expose the Underwriter to any liability for violating economic or trade sanctions pursuant to the laws, rules, regulations, orders, decisions, directives or common positions of the European Union, the United States of America or any governmental body or authority having jurisdiction over the Underwriter.

Nor shall this policy be deemed to provide any cover or benefit to any person or entity to the extent that the provision of such cover or benefit would expose the Underwriter to any liability for violating economic or trade sanctions pursuant to the laws, rules, regulations, orders, decisions, directives or common positions of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (including the British overseas territory of Bermuda), the European Union, the United States of America or any governmental body or authority having jurisdiction over the Underwriter. Notwithstanding the foregoing, payments for claims otherwise covered but for this exclusion, may be considered if the reinsured has obtained licenses authorizing the payment from all regulatory authorities having jurisdiction over the transaction, and each of those licenses specifically authorizes Everen Limited to make payment(s) on the claim.
