All Supervisory Employees. A “supervisor” means any individual who has authority, in the interest of Cuyahoga Community College, to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline other employees; or to responsibly direct them; or to adjust their grievances; or to effectively recommend such action, if the exercise of such authority is not of a merely routine or clerical nature but requires the use of independent judgment.

  • Probationary Employees Employees with permanent status will not be separated from state service through a layoff action without first being offered positions they have the skills and abilities to perform within their current job classification within the layoff unit currently held by probationary employees. Probationary employees will be separated from employment before permanent employees.
