A Focus on Delivery Sample Clauses

A Focus on Delivery. The Sandwell Plan is the basis for the LAA, which we will deliver through a single, integrated programme. Xxxxxxxx’s LAA is designed to deliver Sandwell Plan objectives, and is in keeping with government guidance to integrate the sustainable community strategy and LAA. We are following the LAA guidance by having a four-block structure because this fits well with the structure of the Sandwell Partnership and we made a commitment at the outset of the process to keep it simple! We have undertaken a detailed consideration of the priorities of the Borough and how we can use the LAA to support them. We have identified two core objectives, and we will demand that consideration of these objectives is integral to every aspect of the LAA. They are: • Skills and Employment – improving basic and higher level skills, matching skills to employment opportunities, tackling worklessness; • Respect and Community Cohesion – to build cohesion and strengthen respect for others within a diverse Borough, tackling anti-social behaviour, reducing the fear of crime, promoting community safety. These are our primary objectives, which influence the whole LAA and every outcome we will work towards. However other objectives also require the contribution of all our partners and communities. Within all our four blocks, we include a strong contribution to the needs of people in later life derived from our recently approved ‘Living Well in Later Life Strategy’ Similarly the needs of vulnerable children and families are met through all parts of the programme. We expect each theme partnership to contribute to the whole programme, not just the block allocated to them. All themes will contribute to our two core objectives in their strategy and implementation, All themes will work with all our communities, focussing on ‘narrowing the gap’ (tackling inequalities). Each theme is also working to create sustainable communities, one of our Sandwell Plan ‘choices’. Each theme will integrate Cultural activity as a means of delivering against appropriate high-level outcomes.
