Standing Referral definition

Standing Referral means a referral by the covered person's primary care provider to a specialist or specialized treatment center participating in the carrier's network for ongoing treatment of a covered person.

Standing Referral means a Referral to a Participa- tion Specialist for more than one visit without the Member’s Primary Care Physician having to provide a specific referral for each visit.

Standing Referral means a referral by a Primary Care Provider (PCP) to a Specialist for more than one visit to the Specialist, as indicated in the treatment plan, if any, without the Primary Care Provider having to provide a specific referral for each visit. State means the State of California.

• The Covered Services will be rendered by the Referred Specialist named on the Standing Referral form.

• The Member, the Primary Care Physician and the Referred Specialist will be notified in writing of the length of time that the Standing Referral is valid.
