Short-Term Military Leave definition

Short-Term Military Leave means a military leave of thirty (30) consecutive days or fewer during a calendar year.

Examples of Short-Term Military Leave in a sentence

  • For the purpose of computing vacation or sick leave, Short-Term Military Leave will count as full service with the City of Dayton.

  • An employee on Short-Term Military Leave will continue to receive health insurance coverage and is required to pay the employee portion of the costs.

  • In addition, if a Previously Identified Settlement Class Member seeks to claim a YML for a time period not identified on his or her Claim Form, and for all Self-Identifiers, the Claims Administrator will verify that Settlement Class Member’s employment at Walmart during those additional claimed YMLs.   • If you were a Walmart employee who took Short-Term Military Leave (30 days or less) between October 10, 2004 and December 31, 2020, you could get money from this class action settlement.

  • If a Self-Identifier submits a Claim Form, the Self-Identifier must identify on the Claim Form the years in which the Self-Identifier took Short-Term Military Leave from his or her employment with Walmart and provide proof of military service as provided in Section 5.4.4. The Claims Administrator shall verify all Claim Forms submitted by Self-Identifiers in accordance with the procedures set forth in Section 5.4.4.4.

  • For each timely Claim Form the Claims Administrator receives, the Claims Administrator shall determine the number of calendar years during which the Settlement Class Member took Short-Term Military Leave during his or her employment with Walmart.

  • All written requests from any Holder or Holders to effect a registration on Form S-3 pursuant to this Section 3.4 shall indicate whether such Holder(s) intend to effect an offering promptly following effectiveness of the registration statement or whether, pursuant to Section 3.8.1, they intend for the registration statement to remain effective so that they may effect the offering on a delayed basis (a “Shelf Request”).

  • This Notice describes the proposed class action Settlement, which, if approved by the Court, would mean that you may be eligible to receive compensation for Short-Term Military Leave that you took when you worked at Walmart between October 10, 2004 and December 31, 2020.

  • When Previously Identified Settlement Class Members submit a Claim Form, they may identify additional years in which they took Short-Term Military Leave from their employment with Walmart in addition to the years identified on the Claim Form.

Related to Short-Term Military Leave

  • Military Leave means leave subject to reemployment rights under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994, as amended from time to time.

  • Short-Term Payout means the payout set forth in Section 4.1.

  • Short-Term Disability means short-term disability as defined in the Corporation’s short-term disability plan.

  • Short Term Loan means a loan transfer for a period of no fewer than 28 days in any one season.

  • Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.

  • Short-term rental means the provision of a room or space that is suitable or intended for occupancy for dwelling, sleeping, or lodging purposes, for a period of fewer than 30 consecutive days, in exchange for a charge for the occupancy.

  • Military munitions means all ammunition products and components produced or used by or for the U.S. Department of Defense or the U.S. Armed Services for national defense and security, including military munitions under the control of the Department of Defense, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and National Guard personnel. The term military munitions includes: confined gaseous, liquid, and solid propellants, explosives, pyrotechnics, chemical and riot control agents, smokes, and incendiaries used by DOD components, including bulk explosives and chemical warfare agents, chemical munitions, rockets, guided and ballistic missiles, bombs, warheads, mortar rounds, artillery ammunition, small arms ammunition, grenades, mines, torpedoes, depth charges, cluster munitions and dispensers, demolition charges, and devices and components thereof. Military munitions do not include wholly inert items, improvised explosive devices, and nuclear weapons, nuclear devices, and nuclear components thereof. However, the term does include non-nuclear components of nuclear devices, managed under DOE's nuclear weapons program after all required sanitization operations under the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, have been completed.

  • Short Term means a period of one or less than one (1) year;

  • Short-Term Investments means short-term investments as defined by GAAP.

  • Qualified Military Service means any service in the uniformed services (as defined in chapter 43 of title 38, United States Code) by any individual if such individual is entitled to reemployment rights under such chapter with respect to such service and to the Employer.

  • Short-term acute care facility means a facility or Hospital that provides care to people with medical needs requiring short-term Hospital stay in an acute or critical setting such as for recovery following a surgery, care following sudden Sickness, Injury, or flare-up of a chronic Sickness.

  • High Quality Short-Term Debt Instruments means any instrument that has a maturity at issuance of less that 366 days and that is rated in one of the two highest rating categories by a Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization.

  • Military service means honorably serving on federal active duty, state active duty, or national guard duty, as defined in Iowa Code section 29A.1; in the military services of other states, as provided in 10 U.S.C. Section 101(c); or in the organized reserves of the United States, as provided in 10 U.S.C. Section 10101.

  • Seasonal employment means the employment of 1 or more individuals primarily hired to perform services during regularly recurring periods of 26 weeks or less in any 52-week period other than services in the construction industry.

  • Short-Term Indebtedness means Utility Indebtedness having an original maturity less than or equal to one year from the date of original incurrence thereof, and not renewable or extendible at the option of the obligor thereon for a term greater than one year beyond the date of original issuance.
