SERVICE Professional employee(s) definition

SERVICE Professional employee(s) means those employees designated by the notice of appointment as "SERVICE professional EMPLOYEE(S)" including: a. Academic Professionals - non- classified employees involved with research or teaching programs who require professional and intellectual freedom and who report to a person below the level of vice president, including librarians, cooperative extensionists, and researchers. b. Service Professionals WHO ARE non-classified employees WHOSE PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES SUPPORT THE MISSION OF A UNIVERSITY with a direct role in service who require professional and intellectual freedom and who report to a person below the level of vice president, including those in student services, technical services, student health services, and public service. IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS: APPLYING SPECIALIZED, TECHNICAL OR ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE THAT TYPICALLY REQUIRES FORMAL ADVANCED EDUCATION; PERFORMING CREATIVE, INNOVATIVE, OR IMAGINATIVE WORK PROVIDING MIDDLE TO UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT OF OPERATIONS THROUGH THE DIRECT LEADERSHIP OF PERSONNEL; HAVING SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE SELECTION OF EMPLOYEES, COMPENSATION, EVALUATION, PLANNING AND EFFECTIVENESS OF THE WORK ENVIRONMENT; MAKING INDEPENDENT DECISIONS IN
SERVICE Professional employee(s) means those employees designated by the notice of appointment as "Service professional employee(s)" who are non-classified employees whose professional activities support the mission of the Board of Regents and the universities in one or more of the following ways: applying specialized, technical or advanced knowledge or experience that typically requires formal advanced education; performing creative, innovative, or imaginative work providing middle to upper level management of operations through the direct leadership of personnel; having significant impact on the selection of employees, compensation, or evaluation of employees; planning and effectiveness of the work environment; making independent decisions in matters of significance at the university’s request, and who exercise professional discretion and expertise.

It also includes all employees who are or have been previously employed by the Office and whose current position has placed them in the bargaining unit represented by CSEA. For those latter employees, for purposes of this article only, the “date of hire” is the date upon which the employees’ employment status changed as such that the employee was placed in the CSEA unit.

  • Mental health professional means a psychiatrist,

  • Non-Participating Clinical Professional Counselor means a Clinical Professional Counselor who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Allied Health Professional means a person registered as an allied health professional with the Health Professions Council;

  • Retained Professional means an Entity: (a) employed in the Chapter 11 Cases pursuant to a Final Order in accordance with sections 327 and 1103 of the Bankruptcy Code and to be compensated for services rendered prior to the Effective Date, pursuant to sections 327, 328, 329, 330, or 331 of the Bankruptcy Code; or (b) for which compensation and reimbursement has been allowed by the Bankruptcy Court pursuant to section 503(b)(4) of the Bankruptcy Code.

  • Accrued Professional Compensation means, at any given moment, all accrued, contingent and/or unpaid fees and expenses (including, without limitation, success fees) for legal, financial advisory, accounting and other services and reimbursement of expenses that are awardable and allowable under section 328, 330(a) or 331 of the Bankruptcy Code and were rendered before the Effective Date by any Retained Professional in the Chapter 11 Cases, or that are awardable and allowable under section 503 of the Bankruptcy Code, that have not been denied by a Final Order, all to the extent that any such fees and expenses have not been previously paid (regardless of whether a fee application has been filed for any such amount). To the extent that the Bankruptcy Court or any higher court denies or reduces by a Final Order any amount of a Retained Professional’s fees or expenses, then those reduced or denied amounts shall no longer constitute Accrued Professional Compensation.

  • Company Service Provider means an employee, individual consultant, individual independent contractor, individual self-employed contractor, leased or temporary employee or director of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.

  • Service employee, as used in this clause, means any person (other than a person employed in a bona fide executive, administrative, or professional capacity as defined in 29 CFR 541) engaged in performing a District contract not exempted under 41 U.S.C. §356, the principal purpose of which is to furnish services in the United States, as defined in section 22.1001 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. It includes all such persons regardless of the actual or alleged contractual relationship between them and a contractor.

  • Active Employees means all employees employed on the Closing Date by Seller for its business who are employed exclusively in Seller’s business as currently conducted, including employees on temporary leave of absence, including family medical leave, military leave, temporary disability or sick leave, but excluding employees on long-term disability leave.
