Remediation Standard definition

Remediation Standard means (i) a numerical standard that defines the concentrations of Hazardous Substances that may be permitted pursuant to Environmental Law to remain in any environmental media following a Cleanup; or (ii) an approach (engineering, operational or otherwise) used to correct a non-compliant condition pursuant to Environmental Law.
Remediation Standard means a numerical standard that defines the concentrations of Hazardous Materials that may be permitted to remain in any environmental media after an investigation, remediation or containment of a release of Hazardous Materials.
Remediation Standard means a numerical standard (whether resulting from an enacted statute, promulgated regulation, guidance or policy document issued by a regulatory agency, or developed on a case-by-case basis through a risk assessment or other methodology authorized pursuant to an applicable Environmental Law) that defines the concentrations of Hazardous Substances that may be permitted to remain in any environmental media after a Remediation.

Examples of Remediation Standard in a sentence

  • For any substances reported at or emanating from the Site, for which no remediation criteria has been adopted under the Remediation Standard Regulations, the Permittee shall, in accordance with the Remediation Standard Regulations, submit for the Commissioner’s review and written approval a proposal for additional remediation and establishment of criteria for additional polluting substances.

  • In that case, once site- wide environmental investigation at the Facility has been performed in accordance with prevailing standards and guidelines, and remediation activities have addressed any and all requirements of the Commissioner and have achieved compliance with Connecticut’s Remediation Standard Regulations, such LEP shall submit a Verification of such investigation and remediation activities.

Remediation Standard means a numerical standard (whether resulting from an enacted statute, promulgated regulation, guidance or policy document issued by a Governmental Authority, or developed on a case-by-case basis through a risk assessment or other methodology authorized pursuant to an applicable Environmental Law and, if appropriate, approved by a Governmental Authority) that defines the concentrations of Hazardous Substances that may be permitted to remain in any environmental media after an investigation, remediation or containment of a release of Hazardous Substances; (3) the term "Remediation" means any action of any kind to investigate and/or clean up and/or otherwise respond a release of Hazardous Substances into an environmental medium, including the following activities: (A) monitoring, investigation, assessment, treatment, cleanup, containment, removal, mitigation, remediation, corrective action, response or restoration work; (B) obtaining any permits, consents, approvals or authorizations of any Governmental Authority necessary to conduct any such activity; (C) preparing and implementing any plans or studies for any such activity; and (D) obtaining a written notice from a Governmental Authority with jurisdiction over the site being addressed under Environmental Laws that no additional work is required by such Governmental Authority; and (4) the term "Off-Site Location" means any location other than (x) any Bison Property or (y) property adjacent to any Bison Property which has been impacted by a release of Hazardous Substances at, on, under or from any Bison Property.
Remediation Standard shall have the meaning ascribed to it in Section 8.2(e).
Remediation Standard means a remediation standard defined as such pursuant to the Remediation Standards, N.J.A.C. 7:26D.
