Medical/infectious waste definition

Medical/infectious waste means “medical/infectious waste” as defined by RSA 125-N:2,
Medical/infectious waste means any waste generated in the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization of human beings or animals, in research pertaining thereto, or in the produc­ tion or testing of biologicals that is listed in numbered para­ graphs “1” through “7” of this definition. The definition of medical/infectious waste does not include hazardous waste identified or listed under the regulations in 40 CFR Part 261; household waste, as defined in 40 CFR § 261.4(bXl); ash from incineration of medical/infectious waste, once the in­ cineration process has been completed; human corpses, re­ mains, and anatomical parts that are intended for interment; and domestic sewage materials identified in 40 CFR § 261.4(a)(1).

As used in this Contract: “Release” means spilling, leaking, pumping, pouring, emitting, emptying, discharging, injecting, escaping, leaching, dumping or disposing.

  • Toxic Substance includes but is not limited to asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and lead-based paints.

  • Hazardous Waste Management Facility means, as defined in NCGS 130A, Article 9, a facility for the collection, storage, processing, treatment, recycling, recovery, or disposal of hazardous waste.
