Hospital Outpatient Department Services means services furnished by any health facility as defined in the CaliforniaHealth and Safety Code Section 1250 and any hospital that is certified to participate in the Medicare program under Title XVIII (42 U.S.C. SEC. 1395 et seq.) of the federal Social Security Act to a patient who has not been admitted as an inpatient but who is registered as an outpatient in the records of the hospital.
