Outpatient services definition

Outpatient services means those services rendered in a practitioner’s office or in the department of an approved facility where services are rendered to persons who have not had an overnight stay and are not charged for room and board.
Outpatient services means nonresidential services for the treatment of nervous or mental disorders or alcoholism or other drug abuse problems provided to an insured and, if for the purpose of enhancing the treatment of the insured, a collateral by any of the following:
Outpatient services means behavioral health treatment services provided to an individual in a nonresidential setting. A residential treatment facility (RTF) may become certified to provide outpatient services.

  • If a request for Authorization is denied by Us, the Outpatient services and supplies are not covered.

Outpatient services means office visits that provide for the treatment of Mental Illness and Substance Abuse.
Outpatient services means an organized, nonresidential treatment service in regularly scheduled sessions intended for individuals not requiring a more intensive level of care or those who require continuing services following more intensive treatment regimens. For substance use disorder treatment services, the corresponding ASAM Treatment Level is Level I, Outpatient Treatment.
Outpatient services means any Clinic Services or Ancillary Services provided to Custody 12 Patients which do not require an admission into CONTRACTOR’s facility.
