Examples of Acute Care Hospital in a sentence

  • A Long-Term Acute Care Hospital is primarily engaged in providing diagnostic services and medical treatment to Members with chronic diseases or complex medical conditions.

  • A Long-Term Acute Care Hospital provides highly skilled nursing, therapy and medical treatment to Members (typically over an extended period of time) although such Members may no longer need general acute care typically provided in a Hospital.

  • A Long-Term Acute Care Hospital may participate in a teaching program.

  • The term Long-Term Acute Care Hospital does not include chronic care institutions or facilities that principally provide custodial, rehabilitative or long-term care, whether or not such institutions or facilities are affiliated with or are part of a long-term acute care hospital.

Acute Care Hospital means any hospital that provides emergency medical services on a 24-hour basis.
