Healthcare Coalition definition

Healthcare Coalition. (HCC) is a collaborative network of healthcare organizations and their respective public and private sector response partners that serve as multiagency coordinating groups to assist with preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities related to healthcare organization and regional healthcare systems’ disaster operations.
Healthcare Coalition. (HCC) means a group of individual healthcare organizations (e.g., hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, etc.) and relevant partner organizations (e.g., emergency management, public health, utilities, etc.) in a defined geographic location. In Texas, the geographic boundaries of the HCCs align with the 22 trauma service areas. HCCs serve as a multi-agency coordination group that supports emergency management and Emergency Support Function Public Health and Medical Services Annex ESF-8.

  • COVERED HEALTHCARE SERVICES means any service, treatment, procedure, facility, equipment, drug, device, or supply that we have reviewed and determined is eligible for reimbursement under this plan.

  • Health Care Operations shall have the meaning given to such term under the HIPAA 2 Privacy Rule in 45 CFR § 164.501.

  • Healthcare Laws means all applicable statutes, laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of any Governmental Authority with respect to regulatory matters primarily relating to patient healthcare, healthcare providers and healthcare services (including without limitation Section 1128B(b) of the Social Security Act, as amended, 42 U.S.C. Section 1320a-7(b) (Criminal Penalties Involving Medicare or State Health Care Programs), commonly referred to as the "Federal Anti-Kickback Statute," and the Social Security Act, as amended, Section 1877, 42 U.S.C. Section 1395nn (Prohibition Against Certain Referrals), commonly referred to as "Xxxxx Statute").

  • Psychiatric hospital means an Institution constituted, licensed, and operated as set forth in the laws that apply to Hospitals, which meets all of the following requirements:

  • Home health aide services means the personal care and maintenance activities provided to individuals for the purpose of promoting normal standards of health and hygiene.

  • Health care means any of the following intended for use in the diagnosis, treatment, mitigation, or prevention of a human ailment or impairment:

  • child care centre means a building used for the daily accommodation and care of 6 or more children under 18 years of age in the absence of their parents or guardians;

  • Enterprises means DTE Enterprises, Inc., a Michigan corporation wholly-owned by the Borrower.

  • Health care worker means a person other than a health care professional who provides medical, dental, or other health-related care or treatment under the direction of a health care professional with the authority to direct that individual's activities, including medical technicians, medical assistants, dental assistants, orderlies, aides, and individuals acting in similar capacities.

  • Homecare Worker means a provider, as described in OAR 411-031- 0040, that is directly employed by a consumer to provide either hourly or live-in services to the eligible consumer.

  • Indian Health Care Provider means a health care program operated by the Indian Health Service (IHS) or by an Indian Tribe, Tribal Organization, or Urban Indian Organization (otherwise known as an I/T/U) as those terms are defined in § 4 of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act (25 USC § 1603). Indian Health Care Provider includes a 638 Facility and provision of Indian Health Service Contract Health Services (IHS CHS).

  • Home Health Care means the continual care and treatment of an individual if:

  • Health care provider or "provider" means:

  • Health care professional means a physician or other health care practitioner licensed, accredited or certified to perform specified health care services consistent with state law.

  • Home health care services means medical and nonmedical services, provided to ill, disabled or infirm persons in their residences. Such services may include homemaker services, assistance with activities of daily living and respite care services.

  • Health care plan means any contract, policy or other arrangement for benefits or services for medical or dental care or treatment under:

  • Health care services means services for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, cure, or relief of a health condition, illness, injury, or disease.

  • Health carrier or "carrier" means a disability insurer

  • Hospital clinic means an outpatient care clinic operated and affiliated with a hospital and under the direct authority of the hospital’s P&T committee.

  • Child care means continuous care and supervision of five or more qualifying children that is:

  • School health services means health services provided by a qualified school nurse or other qualified person that are designed to enable a child with a disability to receive FAPE as described in the child’s IEP.

  • Hospice means a public agency or private organization licensed pursuant to Chapter 400, Florida Statutes, to provide Hospice services. Such licensed entity must be principally engaged in providing pain relief, symptom management, and supportive services to terminally ill Members and their families.
