Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) means an electronic system or process – managed with the aid of computers and software – implemented in order to manage different kinds of records in an organisation. Electronic records management systems may also operate as electronic document management systems (EDMS). Note that electronic records management systems are not the same as electronic document management systems.
