Direct filtration means a series of processes including coagulation and filtration but excluding sedimentation resulting in substantial particulate removal.
Direct Loss means charges actually paid pursuant to this Agreement in respect of the period of the Delay. For the purposes of clause 13.4, the User's losses arising out of a Delay will be taken to include the amount of the relevant Direct Losses.
Direct Load Control means load reduction that is controlled directly by the Curtailment Service Provider’s market operations center or its agent, in response to PJM instructions.
direct sale means any sale or transfer of milk by a producer directly to consumers, as well as any sale or transfer of other milk products by a producer. The Commission may, while respecting the definition of ‘delivery’ given in point (f), adjust the definition of ‘direct sale’ in order to ensure, in particular, that no quantity of marketed milk or other milk products is excluded from the quota arrangements;
Direct holdings means all publicly traded securities of a company that are held directly by the state treasurer or a retirement system in an actively managed account or fund in which the retirement system owns all shares or interests.
direct “notify” “notice” or “request” means apply approve approval consent direct notify notice or request (as the case may be) in writing;
Direct services means special education services provided by a special education teacher when the services are related to instruction, including cooperative teaching.
Direct care means medical services, nursing services, or medically-related social services provided to a resident.
direct line means either an electricity line linking an isolated generation site with an isolated customer or an electricity line linking an electricity producer and an electricity supply undertaking to supply directly their own premises, subsidiaries and eligible customers;
Low-speed vehicle means any four-wheeled electrically-powered vehicle, except a motor vehicle or
Indirect Owner means, in the case of a Protected Partner that is an entity that is classified as a partnership, disregarded entity or subchapter S corporation for federal income tax purposes, any person owning an equity interest in such Protected Partner, and in the case of any Indirect Owner that itself is an entity that is classified as a partnership, disregarded entity or subchapter S corporation for federal income tax purposes, any person owning an equity interest in such entity.
Indirect services means special education services provided by a special education teacher which include ongoing progress reviews; cooperative planning; consultation; demonstration teaching; modification and adaptation of the environment, curriculum, materials, or equipment; and direct contact with children with disabilities to monitor and observe.
direct shipping ore means iron ore which has an average pure iron content of not less than sixty per cent (60%) which will not pass through a one half (½) inch mesh screen and which is sold without concentration or other beneficiation other than crushing and screening;
Owner/operator means the owner(s), operator(s), lessor(s), lessee(s) and/or supervisor(s) of an air contaminant source and/or a person authorized to represent such person(s).
Digital Cross Connect System or "DCS" is a function which provides automated Cross Connection of Digital Signal Level 0 (DS0) or higher transmission bit rate digital channels within physical interface facilities. Types of DCS include but are not limited to DCS 1/0s, DCS 3/1s, and DCS 3/3s, where the nomenclature 1/0 denotes interfaces typically at the DS1 rate or greater with Cross Connection typically at the DS0 rate. This same nomenclature, at the appropriate rate substitution, extends to the other types of DCS specifically cited as 3/1 and 3/3. Types of DCS that cross connect Synchronous Transport Signal level 1 (STS-1 s) or other Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) signals (e.g., STS-3) are also DCS, although not denoted by this same type of nomenclature. DCS may provide the functionality of more than one of the aforementioned DCS types (e.g., DCS 3/3/1 which combines functionality of DCS 3/3 and DCS 3/1). For such DCS, the requirements will be, at least, the aggregation of requirements on the "component" DCS. In locations where automated Cross Connection capability does not exist, DCS will be defined as the combination of the functionality provided by a Digital Signal Cross Connect (DSX) or Light Guide Cross Connect (LGX) patch panels and D4 channel banks or other DS0 and above multiplexing equipment used to provide the function of a manual Cross Connection. Interconnection is between a DSX or LGX to a Switch, another Cross Connection, or other service platform device.
Direct Losses means all damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, fines, assessments, claims, actions, costs, expenses (including the cost of legal or professional services, legal costs being on a substantial indemnity basis), proceedings, demands and charges whether arising under statute, contract or at common law, except Indirect Losses.
Direct service means providing services to minor or vulnerable adult when the services are rendered in the physical presence of the minor or vulnerable adult. Services include, but are not limited to: providing individual services such as counseling, mentoring, job coaching, training, job search activities, testing or providing mental health and medical services to DWS customers. See Title 62A, Utah Human Services Code, Chapter 5, Services for People with Disabilities.
Loose-fitting facepiece means a respiratory inlet covering that is designed to form a partial seal with the face.
Flowgate means a representative modeling of facilities or groups of facilities that may act as potential constraint points.
CMP means Construction Management Plan;
Operator means the operator of an internet website, online service, online application, or mobile application with actual knowledge that the site, service, or application is used for K–12 school purposes. Any entity that operates an internet website, online service, online application, or mobile application that has entered into a signed, written agreement with an LEA to provide a service to that LEA shall be considered an “operator” for the purposes of this section.
Indirect holdings means all securities of a company that are held in an account or fund, including a mutual fund, that is managed by one or more persons who are not employed by the state treasurer or a retirement system, if the state treasurer or retirement system owns shares or interests either:
SRS means the scheme referred to by the Ministry of Finance as the Supplementary Retirement Scheme or such other scheme as shall replace or supersede the Supplementary Retirement Scheme from time to time.
CCL means the Child Care Licensing Program in the Department of Health that is delegated with the responsibility to enforce the Utah Child Care Licensing Act.
Indirect supervision means the supervision of an unlicensed school staff member when the school nurse or other health care provider is not physically available on site but immediately available by telephone.
Direct Patient Care means the provision of health care services provided directly to individuals being treated for or suspected of having physical or mental illnesses. Direct patient care includes both, face-to-face and telehealth-based preventative care and first-line supervision.
