It is expressly understood and agreed that the Employer shall have no recourse of any kind against the Council or the Council-member Unions in respect to training or the issuance of a certificate of training to any Employee under the provisions of any Federal, Provincial, Territorial or Municipal regulating agency.
An Employee’s failure to show good standing with the appropriate Council-member Union shall be sufficient just and reasonable cause for discharge.
If the Employer chooses to hire an individual who is not a member of a Council-member Union and does not qualify for a work permit as set out in this Agreement, the company must hire a counterpart position.
In the situation where a permit being granted is contingent on a counterpart position being hired from the Council-member Union, the member must be employed for at least the same work hours.
A copy of the Employees’ time report and time sheet will be forwarded to the appropriate Council-member Union, accompanied by all applicable remittances, on a weekly basis.
