Councilmember definition

Councilmember or “Member” means a member of the Council established by section 401 of the Charter (D.C. Official Code § 1-204.01) and includes the Chairman, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
Councilmember means a member of the city council other than the mayor.
Councilmember means each member of the City Council except the Mayor.
