Balance provider definition

Balance provider means a market participant who supplies gas to the transmission network or to whom gas is supplied from the transmission network through the relevant connection points, and who has entered into a balance contract with the system operator. The balance provider of household customers is their seller, or the seller designated by the network operator, if the household customer does not have an open supply contract.
