Automotive Operation definition

Automotive Operation means sales, rental, service, fueling, repair or maintenance of vehicles by any commercial, industrial or institutional operation or by a public authority and includes vehicle wash operations.
Automotive Operation means any commercial, industrial, or institutional operation or public authority that carries out the repair or maintenance of vehicles, engines, transmissions or other mechanical devices that use any oil or grease for lubricating purposes including, but not limited to: collision repair shops, mechanical repair shops, service stations, fuelling stations, oil change operations, vehicle dealerships, vehicle maintenance facilities, vehicle recycling operations, radiator repair shops, towing businesses, but not including Vehicle Wash Operations.
Automotive Operation means sales, rental, service, fueling, repair or maintenance of vehicles by any commercial, industrial or institutional operation or by a public authority and includes vehicle wash operations, provided that an automotive dismantling and recycling operation is not carried out at the same site.

Examples of Automotive Operation in a sentence

  • If the Engineer requires a Wastewater Discharge Permit from the Operator of an Automotive Operation, this Code of Practice will not apply unless the Wastewater Discharge Permit so provides.

  • An Operator of an Automotive Operation must locate the Treatment Works referred to in subsections (3), (4) or (5) so that they are readily and easily accessible for inspection and maintenance.

  • An Operator of an Automotive Operation that is in operation before July 29, 2012 and does not have the Treatment Works specified in subsections (3) or (4) must install the Treatment Works by July 29, 2017 to treat the Waste in accordance with this Code of Practice.

  • An Operator of an Automotive Operation who operates one or more Oil-Water Separators must not permit the floating Oil and Grease to accumulate in any chamber of any Oil-Water Separator in excess of the lesser of 5 cm (two inches) or 5% of the Wetted Height of the Oil-Water Separator.

  • If work in an Automotive Operation is limited to Dry Shop processes then the installation of the Treatment Works is not required but all other requirements under this Code of Practice will apply.

  • An Operator of an Automotive Operation must ensure that all Waste from washrooms, washing machines and change rooms bypasses the Treatment Works.

  • An Operator of an Automotive Operation who operates one or more Oil-Water Separators must not permit the settled solids to accumulate in any chamber of any Oil-Water Separator in excess 50% of the Wetted Height of the Oil-Water Separator.

  • Restricted business operations means business operations in Sudan that include power production activities, mineral extraction activities, oil-related activities, or the production of military equipment, as those terms are defined in the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act of 2007 (Pub. L. 110-174). Restricted business operations do not include business operations that the person (as that term is defined in Section 2 of the Sudan Accountability and Divestment Act of 2007) conducting the business can demonstrate—

  • Salvage operation means any business, trade or industry engaged in whole or in part in salvaging or reclaiming any product or material, including but not limited to metals, chemicals, shipping containers or drums.

  • Health Care Operations shall have the meaning given to such term under the HIPAA 2 Privacy Rule in 45 CFR § 164.501.

  • Farm operation means any activity conducted solely or primarily for the production of one or more agricultural products or commodities, including timber, for sale or home use, and customarily producing such products or commodities in sufficient quantity to be capable of contributing materially to the operator's support.

  • Business operations means engaging in commerce in any form, including by acquiring, developing, maintaining, owning, selling, possessing, leasing, or operating equipment, facilities, personnel, products, services, personal property, real property, or any other apparatus of business or commerce.

  • Controlled unaffiliated business means a company:

  • Alarm business means the business by any individual, partnership, corporation, or other entity of selling, leasing, maintaining, servicing, repairing, altering, replacing, moving or installing any alarm system or causing to be sold, leased, maintained, serviced, repaired, altered, replaced, moved or installed any alarm system in or on any building, structure or facility.

  • Covered Business means (A) during the term, any business in which the Company is engaged and (B) after the Term, any business in which the Company was engaged as of the end of the Term.

  • Certified business means a business verified as a minority- or women-owned business enterprise pursuant to Section 314 of the Executive Law.

  • Petroleum Operations means, as the context may require, Exploration Operations, Development Operations or Production Operations or any combination of two or more of such operations, including construction, operation and maintenance of all necessary facilities, plugging and abandonment of Xxxxx, safety, environmental protection, transportation, storage, sale or disposition of Petroleum to the Delivery Point, Site Restoration and any or all other incidental operations or activities as may be necessary.

  • food business means any undertaking, whether for profit or not and whether public or private, carrying out any of the activities related to any stage of production, processing and distribution of food;

  • Related Business means any business that is related, ancillary or complementary to the businesses of the Company and the Restricted Subsidiaries on the Issue Date.

  • Financial Services Business for purposes of this Unit Agreement shall mean the business of banking, including deposit, credit, trust and investment services, mortgage banking, asset management, and brokerage and investment banking services. (C) The term "Managerial Responsibilities" for purposes of this Unit Agreement shall mean managerial and supervisory responsibilities and duties that are substantially the same as that Grantee is performing for SunTrust or a SunTrust Affiliate on the date of this Unit Agreement. (D) The term "SunTrust Affiliate" for purposes of this Unit Agreement shall mean any corporation which is a subsidiary corporation (within the meaning of §424(f) of the Code) of SunTrust except a corporation which has subsidiary corporation status under §424(f) of the Code exclusively as a result of SunTrust or a SunTrust Affiliate holding stock in such corporation as a fiduciary with respect to any trust, estate, conservatorship, guardianship or agency. (F) "Trade Secret" for purposes of Unit Agreement shall mean information, including, but not limited to, technical or nontechnical data, a formula, a pattern, a compilation, a program, a device, a method, a technique, a drawing, a process, financial data, financial plans, product plans, or a list of actual or potential customers or suppliers that: (i) derives economic value, actual or potential, from not being generally known to, and not being readily ascertainable by proper means by, other persons who can obtain economic value from it is disclosure or use, and (ii) is the subject of reasonable efforts by SunTrust or a SunTrust Affiliate to maintain its secrecy.

  • Cannabis business means any business activity involving cannabis, including but not limited to cultivating, transporting, distributing, manufacturing, compounding, converting, processing, preparing, storing, packaging, delivering, testing, dispensing, retailing and wholesaling of cannabis, of cannabis products or of ancillary products and accessories, whether or not carried on for gain or profit.

  • Qualified business means a for-profit business that obtains services relating to that business from 30 or fewer employees or employees of independent contractors performing services substantially similar to employees during a random week in the year ending on the tax day. If a person is a unified business group as that term is defined in section 117 of the Michigan business tax act, 2007 PA 36, MCL 208.1117, the number of employees from whom services are obtained includes all employees of the unitary business group and employees of independent contractors of the unitary business group rendering services to the qualified business.

  • Sexually oriented business means an adult arcade, adult bookstore or adult video store, adult cabaret, adult motel, adult motion picture theater, adult theater, escort agency, nude model studio, or sexual encounter center.

  • Railway Operation means the construction and operation under this Agreement of the relevant Railway and associated access roads and Additional Infrastructure (if any) within the relevant Railway Corridor and of the associated Lateral Access Roads, in accordance with approved proposals;

  • co-operative means a co-operative registered in terms of section 7 of Cooperatives Act, 2005 (Act No. 14 of 2005)
