AGB Percentage definition

AGB Percentage means a percentage derived by dividing (1) the sum of all claims for Medically Necessary services provided paid during the Relevant Period by Medicare fee-for-service and all private health insurers as primary payors, together with any associated portions of these claims paid by Medicare beneficiaries or insured individuals in the forms of co-payments, co-insurance or deductibles, by (2) the Gross Charges for such Medically Necessary Services. The AGB Percentage shall be calculated no later than September 1st of each year, for the most recent Relevant Period. The calculation of the AGB Percentage shall comply with the "look-back method" detailed in Treasury Regulation § 1.501(r)- 5(b)(3). For the current relevant period beginning January 1, 2019 and ending on December 31, 2019, the AGB Percentage is 25% for Methodist Olive Branch Hospital.
AGB Percentage means a percent- age of gross charges that a hospital fa- cility uses under § 1.501(r)–5(b)(3) to de- termine the AGB for any emergency or other medically necessary care it pro- vides to an individual who is eligible for assistance under its financial as- sistance policy (FAP).
AGB Percentage means a percentage of gross charges that UNC Lenoir uses to determine the AGB for emergency or other Medically Necessary care it provides to a FAP-Eligible patient. The AGB Percentage is calculated annually and is detailed in Addendum A. The AGB Percentage for the current fiscal year will be determined no later than 120 days following the end of the prior fiscal year. Financial Assistance is a benefit where 100% of the current patient’s balance owed is written off. Given the 100% benefit, amounts generally billed (AGB) to determine the benefit does not apply.
