Aeronautical Activities definition

Aeronautical Activities means any activity that involves, makes possible, or is required for the operation of aircraft, or that contributes to or is required for the safety of such operations. Aeronautical activities include, but are not limited to: aircraft charter operations, pilot training, aircraft rental, aircraft hangar leasing, sightseeing, aerial photography, crop dusting, aerial advertising and surveying, air carrier operations, aircraft sales and services, sale of aviation petroleum products, repair and maintenance of aircraft, sale of aircraft parts, and any other activities that directly relate to the operation of aircraft. In contrast, examples that are not "Aeronautical Activities" include: ground transportation (taxis, car rentals, limousine service, etc.), restaurants, in-flight food catering and auto parking lots.

Examples of Aeronautical Activities in a sentence

  • Aeronautical Activities may be proposed that do not fall within the categories designated herein.

  • All Entities conducting Commercial Aeronautical Activities at the Airport, hereinafter referred to as a Commercial Aeronautical Operator, shall, as a condition of conducting such activities, comply with all applicable requirements concerning such activities as set forth in these Minimum Standards and any amendments thereto.

  • It shall be the policy of the City that any person, firm, or corporation wishing to provide Aeronautical Services to the public or conduct special Commercial Aeronautical Activities as defined herein at the Airport shall be given equal opportunity to compete without unjust discrimination for use of available Airport facilities pursuant to FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP) Grant Assurance 22 Economic Nondiscrimination.

  • These Minimum Standards have been developed in accordance with FAA Advisory Circular #150-5190-7, Minimum Standards for Commercial Aeronautical Activities (8/28/2006).

Related to Aeronautical Activities

  • Nuclear fuel cycle-related research and development activities means those activities which are specifically related to any process or system development aspect of any of the following: - conversion of nuclear material, - enrichment of nuclear material, - nuclear fuel fabrication, - reactors, - critical facilities, - reprocessing of nuclear fuel, - processing (not including repackaging or conditioning not involving the separation of elements, for storage or disposal) of intermediate or high-level waste containing plutonium, high enriched uranium or uranium-233, but do not include activities related to theoretical or basic scientific research or to research and development on industrial radioisotope applications, medical, hydrological and agricultural applications, health and environmental effects and improved maintenance.
