USE OF OTHER LEAVES FOR SICK LEAVE PURPOSES. The Employer may allow an employee to use other types of leave in lieu of sick leave. The Employer may deny an employee’s use of other leaves in lieu of sick leave if the employee has received written notice or disciplinary action for attendance problems within the last two (2) years.
USE OF OTHER LEAVES FOR SICK LEAVE PURPOSES. The Court may allow an employee to use other types of leave in lieu of sick leave when available sick leave has been exhausted. Such leave shall be applied in the following order: compensatory time until exhausted, holiday leave until exhausted, miscellaneous leave until exhausted, vacation leave until exhausted, then the floating holiday(s). The floating holiday(s) must be used in full shift increments. Exceptions to the order of leaves may be requested if the employee would otherwise lose accrued leave. The Court may deny an employee’s use of other leaves in lieu of sick leave if the employee has documented attendance problems.

  • Use of Vacation Leave for Sick Leave Purposes The Employer may allow an employee who has used all of his or her sick leave to use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 A. An employee who has used all of his or her sick leave may use vacation leave for sick leave purposes as provided in Article 12.2 B – H.

  • Use of Other Leave (a) An employee may elect to use annual or long service leave credits for some or all of their absence on Defence service, in which case they will be treated in all respects as if on normal paid leave.

  • Determination of Service for Sick Leave with Pay Actual time worked and all leave with pay, except for educational leave, shall be included in determining the pro rata accrual of sick leave credits each month, provided that the employee works thirty-two (32) hours or more in that month.

  • Eligibility for Sick Leave Subject to the provisions herein, employees and officers (hereinafter called "employees") who are absent from their duties because of illness or disability are eligible for sick leave.

  • Ineligible for Sick Leave Employees are not eligible for sick leave with pay for any period during which they are on leave of absence without pay, under suspension, on strike, on layoff, or locked out.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Other Methods of Procurement of Consultants’ Services The following table specifies methods of procurement, other than Quality and Cost-based Selection, which may be used for consultants’ services. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • Eligibility for Sick Leave with Pay Employees shall be eligible for sick leave with pay immediately upon accrual.
