Vacation Upon Termination. Regular employees may accrue up to a maximum of four hundred (400) hours of vacation. Upon an employee’s retirement or separation from County employment, accrued vacation shall be paid up to a maximum of two hundred eighty (280) hours. If a current regular employee dies, the entire balance of accrued vacation shall be paid to the appropriate beneficiary, but not to exceed four hundred (400) hours.
Vacation Upon Termination. Except as provided in Article 10, Section 3, employees who leave the service after the completion of twelve (12) consecutive months of employment shall receive vacation for the calendar year in which termination occurs on the basis of one-twelfth (1/12th) of their vacation entitlement for that year for each month or portion of a month greater than one-half (½) worked to date of termination. Employees leaving employment in less than twelve (12) months from the date of commencing employment shall be granted vacation pay in accordance with the "Employment Standards Act".‌‌‌‌
