Terms of Engagement - How are employees employed. Employees can be employed in any of the following ways: Full-Time Employee A full-time employee is a person who works an average of forty (40) hours per week over a four week cycle of one hundred and sixty (160) hours. Part-Time Employee A part-time employee is a person who is employed to work regular days and regular hours, either of which are less than the number of days of hours worked by a full-time employee. A part-time employee shall be paid a pro-rata proportion of the full time weekly rate applying to the classification, and shall be entitled to all the benefits and conditions enjoyed by full-time employees on a pro-rata basis. A part-time employee(s) regular days and hours may be altered by the Company provided the employee has been given reasonable notice of the Company‟s intention to change such hours. Pro-rata benefits and conditions shall be calculated from week to week based on the number of hours worked in the said week.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • Alternative Employment An employer, in a particular redundancy case, may make application to the Commission to have the general severance pay prescription varied if the employer obtains acceptable alternative employment for an employee.

  • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.
