Common use of Switching Shifts Clause in Contracts

Switching Shifts. With a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours notice prior to the shift, an employee can switch a shift with a co-worker in the same classification and with the same qualifications. The employees involved must submit the shift switch in accordance with the Employer’s procedure for doing so. The Manager or designate may approve a shift switch with less than forty-eight (48) hours notice at his/her discretion where there are extenuating circumstances.
