Common use of Status of Salary Schedule Clause in Contracts

Status of Salary Schedule. The salary schedules referred to in Article VI, Section 1, are not to be construed as part of a teacher's continuing contract. The School District reserves the right to withhold increment advancement, lane changes, or any other salary increases for just cause. A salary increase shall not be withheld unless the teacher is given written notice of negligence with good and sufficient reason, and given reasonable opportunity to correct it. An action withholding an increment or lane change salary increase shall be subject to the grievance procedure. The School District shall give such teacher written notice and reasons for such action prior to June 1.
