Common use of Station Assignments Clause in Contracts

Station Assignments. A. Firefighters are assigned by the Fire Chief to specific Fire Stations with consideration to skill sets (this includes EMT-P certification, Fire/EMS Instructor certification, specialized teams or skills, EMS/Maintenance Coordinator assignments, and other pertinent operational skills and training). A ratio of at least 2:1 EMT-P to non-EMT-P should be maintained at each station. This ratio does not supersede Article 25, Section 1. The Chief will also take into consideration the desires of individual Firefighters who want to be at a specific station.
