Common use of Sick Leave/Personal Day Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave/Personal Day. Once probation has been completed, employees shall receive five (5) paid personal/ sick days per contract year April 1st to March 31st following ratification. Sick days nor personal days cannot be carried over from year to year. Employees may be required to submit satisfactory proof to the Employer of any illness, or any non-occupational accident. For Personal days they must be scheduled with two (2) weeks prior to notice and for Sick Days a minimum of four (4) hours’ notice (or as soon as practicably possible) are required.
