Common use of SHORT-TERM ILLNESS AND INJURY AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY Clause in Contracts

SHORT-TERM ILLNESS AND INJURY AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY. ‌ Employees shall be entitled to coverage for short-term illness and injury and long-term disability in accordance with the provisions of this agreement and as described in Appendix 1. In the case of employees in receipt of short-term illness and injury plan benefits, such employees shall remain on payroll and benefit compensation payable by the carrier shall be remitted to the Employer, provided the employee has completed and forwarded all necessary documentation to the carrier.
