Common use of Shift Change Notice Clause in Contracts

Shift Change Notice. (a) The Company shall pay each employee one and one-half (1-1/2) times his regular rate of pay for the first shift of a rearranged work schedule if the employee whose shift is changed shall not have been notified of the change at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the beginning of said first shift. If notice of employee's shift change shall be posted on his regular day off, notice of the change shall be posted at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the beginning of said first shift. Any notice required to be given to an employee under the provisions of this Section 3 may be given by written notice posted on the general bulletin board of the Company and the bulletin board of the Union, and each employee named in any notice shall be deemed to have received the notice at the time copies of said notices are posted on said boards.
