Scheduling of Extended Paid Time Off. 42.6.1. Extended PTO is defined as a request to take paid time off in excess of two 12- hour shifts or three 8-hour shifts in any work week for a full-time employee. Extended PTO is also defined as a request to take PTO in excess of one (1) twelve (12) hour shift or two (2) eight (8) hour shifts for a part-time employee.
