Common use of Rehabilitative Employment Clause in Contracts

Rehabilitative Employment. If during the first twenty-four (24) months of payments an employee is able to engage in some work and earn some income, the Plan will continue to pay for the employee on a reduced basis. The benefit amount will be reduced by fifty percent (50%) of the wages or earnings which he/she receives from such employment during this twenty-four (24) month period. An employee's income from all sources during this period of rehabilitative employment must not exceed ninety percent (90%) of his/her basic wages from his/her normal occupation immediately prior to his/her total disability.
