PTO Seniority. An employee’s seniority for PTO scheduling purposes shall be as defined in Section 40 and shall be unaffected by the employee’s transfer from one scheduling unit to another.

PTO Seniority. An employee’s seniority for PTO seniority purposes begins once he/she enters a PTO scheduling unit within his/her classification. Should an employee change his/her scheduling unit and/or classification, the seniority accrued for PTO purposes starts over. If the employee is involuntarily transferred to a different PTO scheduling unit, he or she will retain his/her seniority for PTO scheduling purposes. Promotion within a flexible staffed position for purposes of PTO seniority will not be considered a change in classification.

  • Super Seniority In the event of a layoff, the Plant Chairperson, Committeepersons and Stewards shall have super seniority.

  • Classification Seniority Classification Seniority" is defined as the length of service in a specific job classification within the bargaining unit, beginning with the date an employee starts to serve a probationary appointment. Classification Seniority shall be interrupted only by separation because of resignation, discharge for just cause, failure to return upon expiration of a leave of absence, failure to respond to a recall from layoff, or retirement.
