Common use of Promotion to Associate Professor Clause in Contracts

Promotion to Associate Professor. A. When an Assistant Professor is transferred to the tenured faculty, he or she is promoted at the same time to the rank of Associate Professor. Note: Article 5A applies to pre-tenure faculty members hired on July 1, 2015 or later, and pre-tenure faculty members who are hired prior to July 1, 2015 who have elected to be covered by the terms of Article 5A.
