Post-Birth Leave. For the duration of the additional post-birth leave, the benefit in the context of the Work and Care Act (Wet Arbeid en Zorg) at the amount of 70% of the salary per day is supplemented to 100% of the salary per day, maximised at the statutory (maximum) daily wages. All claims related to the salary and the weekly working hours are calculated on the basis of the salary that the employee would have received if he did not make use of the additional post-birth leave. This supplement may be increased in the local consultations about the funds available for Decentralised Means for Employment Conditions (DAM - Decentrale Arbeidsvoorwaarden Middelen).
