Personal/Family Illness. A leave of absence without pay up to one (1) year shall be granted to a teacher for personal illness or for the purpose of caring for a sick member of the teacher's immediate family. The request must be submitted in writing to the Superintendent and must involve one (1) school year. Intentions of returning for the following school year must be filed with the Superintendent by March 1.
