Common use of Percentage in Lieu of Benefits Clause in Contracts

Percentage in Lieu of Benefits. 224.1 Permanent employees who regularly work less than seventeen and a half (17.5) hours per week shall be entitled to sixteen percent (16%) of regular earnings in lieu of all benefits (i.e. as listed for temporary and casual employees.) 224.2 Temporary and casual employees shall be entitled to twelve percent (12%) of regular earnings, which premium payment shall be considered to be in lieu of all the following benefits: MSP EHB Dental Plan Group Insurance Registered Savings Plan Group Income Continuance Sick Leave Gratuity Paid Leave of Absence Paid Vacation Leave Paid Statutory Holiday Leave Temporary and casual employees who have worked one thousand five hundred (1500) hours within the past fifty-two (52) consecutive pay periods shall be increased to sixteen percent (16%) of regular earnings.
