Common use of Pay For Union Business Clause in Contracts

Pay For Union Business. Employees, as designated by the President of the Union who are engaged in official Union Business related to cohesive labor-relations with the City, will be allowed time off without loss of pay, including any applicable FLSA compensation from regular scheduled duty to attend any scheduled meeting, community event, training, convention or seminar. In the event such meetings extend beyond the usual working hours, no compensation shall be paid by the City for time outside of regular working hours and work periods (off-duty).
