Common use of Overload Pay Clause in Contracts

Overload Pay. An overload is an ongoing instructional assignment that is not typical of the regular assignments of other staff members with similar assignments (e.g., teaching an additional course at the middle school level). The overload rate shall be the individual teacher’s per diem hourly rate. Overload pay will be calculated on a pro-rated basis in accordance with the length of the overload assignment.
