OTHER PARENT LEAVE. 36.1. This clause replaces the parental leave provisions, contained in clause 32, Parental Leave, of the Award. For the purposes of this clause: The “other parent” may or may not be the biological parent, and does not necessarily have to be the Partner of the birth parent and has a responsibility for the care of the child. The “primary care giver” means the Employee will assume the principal role for the care and attention of a child aged under twelve (12) months or a newly adopted child. Only one person can be the primary care giver of the child at any one time.
