Obligation to Mitigate Damages. In the event of termination of the Term of Employment, the Executive shall make reasonable efforts to mitigate damages by seeking other employment, provided, however, that the Executive shall not be required to accept a position of substantially different character than the position from which the Executive was terminated. To the extent that the Executive shall receive compensation, benefits and service credit for benefits from such other employment, the payment to be made and the benefits and service credit for benefits to be provided by the Company under the provisions of this Article 6 shall be correspondingly reduced.
