New Teachers with Master’s Degree. Teachers newly employed by the School District who are new to the profession and have attained a Master’s Degree shall be compensated in accordance to Section 1 and Subd 2 of this article and up to $6,250 (for Master’s Degree Programs of 35 credits or less), $7,750 (for Master’s Degree Programs of 36 to 44 credits), or $9,250 (for Master’s Degree Programs of 45 or more credits) and shall not include the basic compensation increase in Subd. 1 above. The amount of compensation shall be determined by the Superintendent upon review of the credit requirements of the specific Master’s Degree Program that the teacher obtained.
