Master Teacher/Mentor. The parties recognize the requirement of the School Code to provide a master teacher as a mentor to a beginning teacher during the first three years of classroom teaching. The purpose of the mentor/mentee assignment is to acclimate the new teacher to his/her profession and provide necessary assistance towards attaining quality instruction.
