Maine Public Service Pension Plan. The Maine Public Service Company Pension Plan (“MPS Pension Plan”) first became effective as of January 1, 1952 and subsequently has been amended and restated on several occasions, most recently as of January 1, 2010. The Company hopes and expects to continue the MPS Pension Plan indefinitely and for the duration of this Bargaining Agreement as to those Bargaining Unit employees covered by the Plan. However the Company reserves the right to change the Plan, provided that no change will be made without the consent of the Union if the effect of the Amendment will be to reduce employee rights or benefits under the Plan. The Plan was frozen for all participants as of December 31, 2006,
